Educational Innovation and Research Center (EIRC) is a national level, non-profit and apolitical company working for educational development of the nation. A team of experienced educators, researchers, and development professionals leads EIRC, bringing expertise and dedication to advancing its mission of national progress through education and innovation. EIRC aims to foster innovative education, research, and community-driven development, ensuring equal opportunities for all .

EIRC was established in 2024 and is registered in Company Registrar Office, Kathmandu and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council of Nepal. EIRC’s head office is based in Kathmandu Metropolitan City - 32, Narephat.

Education

Strategic Goal

Increase the quality and access to equitable education in Nepal through sustained collaboration with federal, provincial and local government, schools, teachers and learners through research-driven solutions, professional development programs.

Key Strategies

Research and Policy Advocacy:

  • Conduct evidence-based research to evaluate the effectiveness of Nepal’s educational policies and systems.
  • Advocate for targeted policy reforms to address gaps in access, quality, and equity, fostering a more inclusive and effective education system.

Inclusive Education Promotion:

  • Design programs and resources to empower marginalized and underserved groups, including rural communities, women, ethnic minorities, and differently-abled learners.
  • Create awareness and provide tools for implementing gender-sensitive and culturally inclusive educational practices.

Training and Professional Development Support:

  • Provide comprehensive training programs to school administrators, teachers, students, parents on modern teaching-learning methodologies, technology integration, and innovative assessment techniques.
  • Establish mentorship and continuous development opportunities for educators to improve teaching quality across both urban and rural schools.

Educational Infrastructure Improvement:

  • Collaborate with local governments and institutions to improve the physical infrastructure and learning environments in schools, especially in rural and remote areas.
  • Advocate for the use of technology in education, especially for distance learning and e-learning platforms.

Instructional Designing, and Curriculum Development and Teaching - Learning Materials Production:

  • Instructional designing for national and international academia, government agencies and private sectors.
  • Design and implement curricula that cater to the needs of students at different educational levels, integrating practical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Develop and distribute open educational resources (OERs) and low-cost and effective teaching materials to support diverse learning needs.

Communities and Stakeholders Engagement:

  • Foster strong partnerships with local communities, NGOs, and educational stakeholders to co-develop solutions and initiatives that address local education challenges.
  • Create platforms for dialogue and collaboration between schools, parents, and communities to ensure shared responsibility in education.

Lifelong Learning Opportunities Promotion:

  • Develop vocational and technical training programs to equip students and adults with the skills necessary for the local job market.
  • Encourage and provide resources for non-formal education and lifelong learning, supporting individuals in all stages of life.
